Hilde Holse brings a calm piece to the netlabel scene. It’s nice decorated with a soft fuzz that makes the recording look like it’s kinda old, recovered from some old tape or wax and now digitized in a computer friendly audio format.
The music that comes out of this softness is very nice, orientating on the more sentimental and healing side of a well played trumpet. It plays it’s melody as it has all the time in the world, blowing its tones in a relaxing realm. When I close my eyes images appear of an deserted African landscape and early morning activity of awakening lions, tigers and leopards. I have no idea why this landscape and why these animals, but it probably depends on every listeners their own imagination what they will see with the eyes shut and the ears indulged in this music.
