And so, we are coming to the end of the trio! As a reminder, Caffeinate is quite on edge at this point due to the horror music he had just listened to. So, might as well up it a notch and listen to this split courteously made by Senpai Suicide Club and I Killed Techno!
(As a note, the first four tracks are by Senpai Suicide Club and the last three are done by I Killed Techno!)
It starts off with Invisible Mechanical Velociraptor. A rather short track, livin up to the cyberpunk madness. Rough vocals and some chippy synths bring it all together for some fun. Alright, at this point I’m starting to get into it.
So, the feelings of fear are leaving me as Aya Brea Never Saw The Opera rolls over. Rather fune melodies and bass coming in. I’m bouncing my head from side to side, enjoying this sick little chiptune-ish classical tune.
Back to those sweet, dulcet tones as the singing returns! Oh, yeah I forgot to mention in the previous blurb that that track was instrumental. Anyways, got some drums going in with the beat on EnTrOx Rules Everything Around Me. These tracks so far have just been pretty fun, and a wonderful distraction from the dog of terror that I heard only moments ago.
Happy synths! Sweet, as if a lollipop was put into sound! And thankfully it has been titled appropriately! Lollipop Chainsaw Is The Patriarchy is again another fun track. I love the singing Senpai Suicide Club does. Raw, and with a wonderful fuck it attitude.
Unfortunately, at this point, it is time to say goodbye to Senpai Suicide Club but are greeted by I Love Techno! We start this introduction with Rustle My Jimmies. A whimsical tune with some Japanese vocals start it off and then THESE OFF THE HOOK synths roll in with the voice of I Love Techno! saying ‘Japanese’ and some other words. I’m feeling like my usual badass self while listening to this. Now we’re gettin into the groove.
Some wholesome feelings start off with this charming little melody in Rika Naku Ikenai. Sweet words for Rika so that she doesn’t cry anymore. Alright. This is some chill, more laidback tones but still diggin it.
AND THEN I GET BETRAYED IN THE WORST WAY
Just when I think things are safe and warm and happy an OH MY GOD comes in. Disturbing piano comes in with some creepy laughter and some stabbing sound and some gunshots. I TRUSTED YOU I LOVE TECHNO! WHY YOU DO THIS?!? Great effect but I was seriously pissed. Like in a yeah this is good but fuck you for creeping me out again.
Now, before I continue I bet you’re wondering why that stop sign has LEDs. Short and simple answer is they blink for increased visibility in the darkness so motorists see it and pay attention. Also, I got it with the LEDs on in one shot. Got that timing down reeeeaaallll good.
So, still slightly pissed this fucking awesome groove starts. Heads Up, Homerun! is fucking right! This is off the charts. Paranoia! Paranoia! is recited and echoes pretty well with my overall feeling at the moment. Gah, loving everything about this track!
And suddenly. It comes to a close. All too soon. Rather awesome split, filled with all sorts of goodies. I would pick this up. You can too! Also, if you feel like giving some dinero (which I have feel they have muched earned) you can buy the cassette! As of this writing there are only two left, so you better pick it up while it’s available.
Thus ends the trio! Hope you enjoyed the triple chapter of Caffeinate’s walking reviews!
