The Tits’s hits ‘Daddy is my pusher’ and ‘we are so glad Elvis is dead’ are released as a compatible duo through the now infamous label from the Netherlands named Smikkelbaard Records. The problem with it is that it’s so good, it’s hard to dig up some fitting words to describe it other then ‘you must hear this’. But as the four words ‘you’ , ‘must’ and ‘hear’ & ‘this’ is a far cry from a review, it’s best to write some more material to read upon.

Daddy is my pusher’ hits the nail on the head punk-wise; the recycled guitar riffs, the Lo-fi rawness in the sound, the uptempo energetic vibe of someone being angry and jolly at the same time is really pushing the song. A song with clear and to the points lyrics, easy to be sung along even if you are not equipped with karaoke bar equipment. The voice of the singer has a nice Dutch accent, which makes the song even spicier sounding then without. Think about the situations you could create by singing this song in the local supermarket, the hair salon or a family reunion of some kind; lots of fun indeed.

‘We are so glad Elvis is dead’ is the song that makes sure the real Elvis doesn’t want to return to Memphis, or this planet in general. Or maybe it is the song that makes him wave to come back in able to revenge the creators of this song. But like it or not, ‘we are so glad Elvis is dead’ deals with the other side of the life of Elvis, the one that went for the money and ended up with a bloated face and a haircut with shoe polish in it. In that side of Elvis his life this song is definitely a celebration. In any case these two hits by the tits are a good catch for the growing record company Smikkelbaard and it’s music loving followers. Get it over here:

Mega catchy refrains! Tbh, it gives me totally the feeling I should find a good coffeeeshop and hang around at Saturday at some jam studios where the ashtrays stink of cigarettes and chewing gum and old beer. Super!

I misread the name of the label and thought it read “snikkelbaard’ hut hur hur (#DutchJokeOnly).
