Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin has the magic to create a magic world to escape in, a place in which things happen, stories, plants and vegetables come to life and fish will drive Edsels. With reality fading into absurdity, the world of Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin becomes not only more and more appealing to move into, it also seems to become more and more normal, making the transition from so called ‘reality’ into this other so called surreal ‘reality a much smoother and easier one. What is up is down and left is right, right is left or simply a yet to invent brand new direction.
Somehow the sight of a fish driving Edsels is one that will not make one’s eye roll any more, it’s probably the most acceptive thing to see, even it being chased by a green headed alien in a laser shooting flying saucer becomes like a scene that wouldn’t be unpleasant when witnessed every day. With the wicked witch of the west being defeated and a talking orange mandarin being a world leader in our reality the bridge between fantasy and reality is so short and near that to travel it is easier then ever. In fact I’ve packed my bags, not planning to move to Canada or Mexico, but into the fantastic music videos created by the mind of Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin.
Even though ‘Fish Drive Edsels’ is the last and twelfth video (Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin has made every track on the album into a visual spectacle), it might be the right one to step into at first. Simply because if you’ve slept under a rock unaware of Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin’s world; you have come at the right place to meet a lot of characters from the other tracks all at once. If you haven’t lived under a rock and followed the adventurous of Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin before (bravo!) you will also love to step into the latest video as it’s the perfect reunion of friends.
Just be careful when stepping into the video with your bags and intention to immigrate into Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin’s world as the fish driving edsels drives rather fast, the veggies might force fed you until you yourself turn into a veggie, or the laser shots from the alien might mess up your haircut. You will never be bored when making the move to live in this world, but don’t move in for your rest; Petunia-Liebling MacPumpkin’s world is one full of action, never a bore and feels like you are always tripping…
I’m moving in, will you come too?
I’m just waiting for the driving fish to pick me up… ah there it comes! There is still a seat free! Let’s jump in!!
