After a little break on Yeah I Know It Sucks we are back with a new review of a fresher than fresh released release by Fabiorosho and PL433. I am familiar with the works of Fabiorosho but have no clue on PL433 so this could be something full of surprises! I managed to have a few minutes of valuable time left and I loved the absurdness of the title (and the cover) so much that I just needed to spend time with ‘Interesting Music.’. I can talk more, but let’s just listen to this split by these two divine characters…
The EP is nicely divided with the first 3 tracks by PL433 and the last 3 by Fabiorosho.
The first track is called A Hearty Breakcorefast. It start with a synth melody that sets some kind of skyline of steady sound. We hear a breakbeat pop in and some kind of weep wop sounds. It reminds me of something classical, even it is obviously not. After that we a little tiny break and crazy louder breakbeats comes through. Nice and nasty crazy sounds …
… I fall silent because track 2 is playing and I’m completely mesmerized by it. What an insane beauty!
It’s the perfect crazycore coockooness I so needed to hear! Think breakbeats and nice fun spacy sounds and of course a crazy duck that does the swinging vocals on this tune! And oh boy what a tune it is! Completely mad and I personally can’t just f*cking have enough of it!
If there was any information how to find this duck, I would definitely invite him over for some beer and smokes!
the last track by PL433 is called Madre Lingua e padre culo.. I’m too lazy to translate that with booble translate, but I guess it means something like’ mother likes to fuck father in his asshole’?
The track is not as aggressive as the title I so well described; it is more a fun situation.
Perhaps the dildo the mother is using got nice colors on it and it all looks like a fun event! Father dressed up in a feather costume and that kind of thing. The track is funky, weird and did I already mention fun? Humor shines true and the crazy track comes unfortunately to an end…
Well lucky for us Fabiorosho is here to thrill our ears. All the tracks he donated to this fun work are untitled. Well they are titled ‘untitled1’ untitled2’ and of course ‘untitled3’
And thank goodness these tracks don’t really need better titles as the music speaks for itself.
The first track swings in minimal crazy electronica that sounds like a blend of 8 bit, birds and acid.
Perhaps not in that order, but it swings and is pretty funky. (Read FUNky!) It reminds me a bit of the work of Graffiti Mechanism and that can only be a compliment as that’s a freaking good thing!
untitled2’ is definitely the sweetest side of Fabiorosho I have come across. What a lovely sound and what a great happy comforting tune! This will make all the depressive people happy! Without going to crazy with hyperactive beats and co, Fabiorosho really has managed to come to the essence of fine minimal fun electronica. Lovely ‘panda’ melodies that will make you smile through the day and the night. Also if you have little kids, (it could be) this would be a great track to play for them to keep them silent. 🙂
The last track is also of high standard and fits the mood of the rest of the untitled tracks, but is yet again entirely different. Here Fabiorosho introduced a FUNky beat that you simply have no choice than love! Think electronic jazz without the jazz, but with Fabiorosho behind the drum kit dressed as a carrot. (or something like that). Of course the carrot wears a suit and a necktie, just to keep us informed that this all is not only very interesting music, but also very excellent!
This release was an example of a great team joining together to make people flabbergasted with humor and actually just plain good music. Also love the whole lofi theme in both the artist’s work, it gives the sweetness some extra fun punch! Check this madness out; it will make you feel good!
